Continue to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey then continues through charming desert towns and lush palm groves toward Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and date production, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, you’ll leave your vehicle behind and begin an unforgettable camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
As the sun slowly sets over the Sahara, admire one of Morocco’s most magical landscapes before arriving at your luxury desert camp. After a warm welcome with Moroccan tea, enjoy a delicious traditional dinner followed by live Berber music around the campfire. Spend the night in a comfortable private tent beneath a sky filled with thousands of stars.
Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara Desert, one of the highlights of your journey. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 vehicle, where your driver will be waiting to continue the trip toward Fes.
Travel through the beautiful Ziz Valley, home to one of Morocco’s largest palm groves, and enjoy panoramic viewpoints overlooking thousands of date palms. Continue through the town of Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, where you’ll have time for a relaxing lunch break.
In the afternoon, drive through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where you may encounter the famous Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
