    Itinerary

    3 days Sahara trip from Marrakech to Fes

    Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n'Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora (camel trek)

    Pick-up from your Marrakech hotel at 8:30 a.m., then cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) through the High Atlas, stopping for photos of the peaks and Berber villages.

    Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the Atlas Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate, then follow the Draa Valley to Zagora. In the late afternoon, ride a camel into the dunes to your camp for mint tea, sunset, dinner, Berber drumming and an overnight stay under the stars.

    Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – High Atlas – Marrakech

    Wake for sunrise over the dunes, then ride back to meet your driver after breakfast. Travel along the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river, with panoramic stops.

    Cross the Anti-Atlas and stop for lunch near Ouarzazate before returning over the High Atlas to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.

    How far is Zagora from Marrakech?

    About 360 km, roughly 7 hours by road, with scenic stops along the way.

    Is this tour private or shared?

    The tour starts and ends with pick-up and drop-off at your hotel in Marrakech.

    Can I go sandboarding in Zagora?

    Zagora has smaller rocky dunes, so sandboarding is not available here. For big dunes and sandboarding, choose a Merzouga tour.

    How long is the camel trek, and can I skip it?

    The camel ride to the camp takes about 45 minutes. If you prefer not to ride, we can transfer you by 4×4.

    Are the desert tents private?

    Yes, the tents are always private. Standard camps share a communal bathroom, while luxury camps offer private tents with en-suite bathrooms.

    Is there electricity at the camp?

    Yes. The camp is powered by solar energy, so you can charge devices and have light in the evening.

    What should I pack?

    Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf or hat, comfortable clothing and shoes, a light jacket for cool desert evenings, and a small backpack for valuables.
