11 Days Morocco Tour from Marrakech to Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! On arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, your driver meets you and transfers you to your riad or hotel. Depending on your arrival time, relax or take a first stroll around the lively Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight in Marrakech.

Spend the day exploring Marrakech with a local guide. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the Majorelle Garden, then wander the colourful souks of the medina. Overnight in Marrakech.

Leave Marrakech and cross the High Atlas over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Visit the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the film studios of Ouarzazate, then follow the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove to the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.

Drive through the Todra Gorge, with canyon walls up to 300 m, then continue via Tinejdad and Erfoud to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes for sunset, reaching your desert camp for mint tea, dinner, Berber music and an overnight stay under the stars.

Spend the day discovering the desert by 4×4: the oasis of Hassi Labied, the seasonal Sriji lake, Khamlia village with its Gnawa music, and the M’ifis mines. Visit a nomad family in their tent for mint tea and a glimpse of Saharan life. Overnight in Merzouga.

Travel north through the Middle Atlas, stopping in the cedar forest near Azrou to see wild Barbary macaques and in the alpine town of Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco. Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon and check into your hotel.

Discover Fes with a local guide. Explore the medieval medina of Fes el-Bali, the Al-Qarawiyyin mosque and university, the Bou Inania Madrasa and the famous tanneries, winding through one of the world’s largest car-free old cities. Overnight in Fes.

Drive north to Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of the Rif Mountains. Spend the afternoon wandering its blue-washed lanes and relaxing in the main square. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

Enjoy a morning in Chefchaouen, then drive to Tangier on the Strait of Gibraltar. See the kasbah, the medina and the views over the sea where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. Overnight in Tangier.

Follow the Atlantic coast from Tangier, stopping in the artists’ town of Asilah with its whitewashed medina. Continue to Rabat, the capital, to see the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas, then drive on to Casablanca for the night.
